The Office Mode functionality allows you to set up two custom programs on the lock so that it can open and remain open for the duration of the program and then close automatically. This feature is handy when you have a lock that controls high-traffic access such as an interior door to an office, or the entrance to a shop or restaurant. For each of the 2 programs, you can set 3 different behaviors, according to your needs:
- Office Mode with Automatic Closing (called Semiautomatic)
- Office Mode with Automatic Activation and Automatic Closing
- Office Mode with Automatic Activation and Automatic Re-Closing with First Acces
Note: This feature is available only for Easy and Smart installations
Create a Program
To create one or more programs for a lock, simply go to the Locks section, select the desired lock and go to the “Office Mode” section. Here it is possible to create up to two customized programs indicating:
- Dates, times, and days of operation of the program
- Type of program (see following sections)
Once the program has been created, it must be synchronized on the lock in order for it to work correctly. See the next section to find out how to synchronize office mode schedules in the lock.
When you create or modify a program the new information must be written into the lock memory to be effective. As per the management of RFID Cards, the information will be synchronized the first time it is opened with a smartphone by an authorized user. You can check the synchronization status from the Smart Lock details on the Office Mode section.
Semiautomatic Office Mode
In this mode, the program will have to be activated manually on the lock by a user and the lock will close automatically at the time you set in the program. You can select which users can activate from the “Authorized Users” section, for security reasons all Manager users are enabled by default to deactivate Office Mode.
Automatic Office Mode
In this mode, the lock will open and close automatically at the times and days indicated, remaining open for the entire duration of the program. The opening and closing will take place without any action being required by a user.
Automatic Office Mode – First access
This mode is similar to the Automatic mode but with one substantial difference: The program will actually activate only after the first user has successfully opened the door within the indicated time (for example the first user who arrives in the office in the morning). Once the program has been activated, the door will remain open for the entire duration of the program and will then close automatically at the set time.
When a lock is open in Office Mode it is possible for authorized users to deactivate it manually via the mobile application. If the user deactivates the Office Mode, the program will still remain registered in the lock and will reactivate automatically or at the first access according to the settings you have chosen. You can select which users can perform these actions from the “Authorized Users” section, for security reasons all Manager users are enabled by default to deactivate Office Mode.
