HyperGate LITE
HyperGate LITE is an embedded gateway device that allows the online management of gates over Bluetooth protocol. This section will describe the operation and configuration of Sofia HyperGate LITE which allows you to build a completely online and wireless access management system. The HyperGate device allows you to remotely update the lock memory (white-list), authorizing or deactivating new users, cards, and smartphones. In addition, HyperGate LITE allows remote opening of the door, as well as reading the lock history via browser or smartphone device remotely.

System structure with HyperGate LITE
HyperGate LITE allows you to build a completely online and wireless access management system. The HyperGate LITE device allows you to remotely update the lock memory (white-list), and authorize or deactivate new users, cards, and smartphones. In addition, HyperGate allows remote opening of the passage, as well as reading of the lock history via browser or smartphone device remotely. HyperGate LITE uses Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity to bring online the selected gates.
The figure shows a Sofia Locks access management system. The characteristics of the cloud system: are centralized security, smart locks, and HyperGate LITE devices which make it possible to connect the locks to the Internet. The role of the gateway is to receive commands from the centralized cloud system and send them to the lock on which you want to act: for example, you can send an opening command, add a badge (or a PIN) to the lock’s memory (white- list) or request to read the access logs.

HyperGate LITE installation
Once the HyperGate LITE is turned on it is necessary to use the mobile configuration application Jago tools to start the configuration. Below we list the steps to correctly configure a HyperGate LITE device.
Warning. To ensure safe and protected use of the Sofia HyperGate LITE, we invite you to install it in a suitable and secure location. Please note that Sofia Locks will not be responsible for any damages or tampering that may occur to the device during use.
LEDs and Signaling

Turn on the HyperGate LITE Configuration Mode
To perform any configuration action, the HyperGate LITE must be set in Configuration Mode. To do so follow the following steps:
- Keep the RESET Button pressed for 5 seconds
- Wait until the Config LED start flashing
- Release the RESET Button
- Check that the Config LED is ON with a steady light
Note: Use the Jago Tools application to disable the configuration mode
Note: After all the configuration operations are completed verify that the BLE LED is flashing correctly
Factory Reset
In order to perform a Factory Reset of the device follow the following steps:
- Keep the RESET button pressed until the Boot and Config LEDs are both flashing
- Release the RESET button
- Wait until the reboot is complete and the Config LED turn on again
To abort the factory reset just keep pressing the RESET button until all LEDs are off.
Start configure an HyperGate LITE
From the Jago Tools application go to the HyperGates section and click on the Add HyperGate button. In the screen that appears then select the HyperGate LITE option. The application will therefore show the list of HyperGates LITE detected nearby via Bluetooth. By selecting the desired HyperGate Pro the phone will connect to it via Bluetooth and once connected it will be possible to go to the next configuration step.

HyperGate LITE network configurations
For correct operation the HyperGate Lite must be correctly connected to an Internet network. The connection can be made either via WPA2 Wi-Fi or via Ethernet. In this step it will therefore be necessary to set the parameters of the network to which you want to connect the HyperGate LITE. In the first place it will therefore be necessary to select the correct type of connection as shown in the figure below. If the Wi-Fi type is selected, it will therefore be necessary to indicate the network name and password. It is possible to configure the network both to work with DHCP and to statically set the various options such as IP and DNS, etc.

Name and PUK Configuration
In this configuration screen it is possible to set the name of the HyperGate LITE which will be displayed inside the system and the PUK code.
Warning – PUK Code. It is very important to keep this code as it is not transmitted in the cloud but remains physically in the device. Sofia does not know and cannot retrieve the PUK but it is possible for the installer to modify it from the HyperGate LITE edit screen on Jago Tools

Association of Smart Locks with HyperGate LITE
The final configuration step is to pair the locks with the HyperGate LITE. The screens below shows all the locks visible to the HyperGate LITE via Bluetooth, each lock has a symbol at the top right based on the status of its configuration. By clicking on the lock, you can associate it with the current HyperGate LITE. Once the lock is associated, the image associated with it turns green and by clicking on it you can perform an opening test to check its correct association.
Warning – Set Locks for Configuration. In order to associate a lock with a HyperGate, the lock must be previously correctly associated with the system.Warning – Configuration Distance. For the correct functioning of the system, the locks associated with the HyperGate LITE device must be reachable via the BLE connection at a distance of no more than 10 meters from the HyperGate device.

End HyperGate Lite Configuration
After finishing editing the HyperGate LITE is mandatory to:
- verify that you end the configuration. To end the configuration use the mobile application Jago Tools from the gateway details section.
- Verify that the BLE LED is flashing correctly
Warning: if the BLE LED is not flashing correctly the HyperGate LITE is not ready to function properly
Change HyperGate LITE Settings
When a HyperGate LITE is configured correctly it will be shown in the HyperGates section of the Jago Tools application. By clicking on one of the HyperGate LITE will have access to the details menu where you can perform the following actions:
- Edit Network Setting
- Edit PUK Code
- Delete the HyperGate
- Manage Smart Locks
Warning – Edit configurations and Bluetooth range. In order to change the settings of the HyperGate LITE through the Jago Tools application, the device must be within Bluetooth range and with active Configuration Mode otherwise the installer will not be able to change its configurations. The only action allowed will be the cancellation of the HyperGate.
By clicking on one of the buttons shown in the screens shown in the previous sections with the same functions will be shown.
Delete a HyperGate LITE
It is possible to delete a HyperGate LITE from a system through the detailed configuration menu. There are two ways to remove a HyperGate LITE from a system: Reset Standard and Forced Reset.
Standard Reset
The Standard Reset allows you to eliminate the HyperGate LITE from the cloud system and therefore from the system and from the memory of the locks associated with it. This is the recommended option and can be used when the HyperGate Pro is operational and connected to the internet.
Forced Reset
Forced Reset allows you to delete the HyperGate LITE from the system but it will not remove the memory of the locks associated with it. This option is recommended in cases where the locks are no longer accessible by the HyperGate LITE or when the same device is no longer operational or connected to an internet network.
